Les Pois de Senteur - Les Ateliers Martine

Casa Lopez and the MAD (Musée des Arts Décoratifs) join forces to launch a series of exceptional rugs made from drawings by Les Ateliers Martine, a creative school created by Paul Poiret at the beginning of the last century.

On this wool rug, entirely made by hand, in the oblique cross stitch typical of the Arraiolos craftsmanship, there is a decoration of giant flowers. Set on a greyish green background, the petals composed in shades of gray up to white, black hearts, vermilion red peduncles and green jade and gray-green leaves cause the immediate delight. A carpet that one would like to tread in an urban setting to remember the countryside.
